Highland Ponies.
I have just posted a page on Highland Ponies, the breed of horse that played a crucial part in the life and economy of the far north. I recently purchased a copy of John M. Macdonald's Highland Ponies which was published in 1937, an important record of the subject with much detail on how the various strains developed. He also supplies some interesting anecdotes, some of which I might add later in a sub-page.
I can now report that my book, The Immeasurable Wilds, is at the printers, though no date for its release has yet been supplied: they are said to be very busy...
