Duncan McKercher, the Dunkeld Paganini.

A scarce CDV of Duncan McKercher (aka McKerracher), who was known as the Dunkeld Paganini. Appropriatly, he lived much of his life in Niel Gow's cottage at Inver. Here, he is seen playing one of his most famous tunes, 'The Mason's Apron", wearing the suitable garment!

The Dunkeld Paganini is seen again in this photo on the far right, together with other well-known musicians of the time. The origin of this photo is unknown. Any information would be gratefully received....
