This small album celebrates the work of the boat builders John Cran & Co., who were based in Leith. It is not clear who took the photos, nor to whom the album belonged, but it is a splendid record of a small shipbuilding company.

The first page reveals these two slightly surreal images, though perhaps they will mean a lot to a shipbuilder or metal worker....
